Experience - Academic Positions

At the School of Economics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Evangelia Desli has served at various committees including as Head of the Department of Economic Development and Planning and Director of the Post Graduate Program Applied Economics.
She has been a Visiting Professor at the School of Economics and Finance, Queen Mary University, London, UK.
Also, she held posts as Assistant Vice President and Chief Econometrician at the General Motors Acceptance Corporation Commercial Mortgage (USA) and Manager (Capital Modelling, Reserving, Risk Analysis) at the Lloyd's of London, UK.
Finally, she is Affiliate Actuary at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK; a member of Royal Statistical Society, UK; and a member of the Hellenic Mathematical Society, GR.

 

Research Interests

The main research interests include economic convergence, growth and their estimation methods; efficiency analysis, and frontier estimation methods; performance indices, quantitative methods; insurance and banking.

 

Publications - Conferences

She has published in academic journals including the American Economic Review, Cambridge Journal of Economics, the Review of Development Economics, and Risk Analysis.
